Written Fireside is a round robin style written, short story feature based on the campfire game where one person starts a story then passes it on to the next person gathered by the fire to continue.

For each story I write part 1, then each participating author (a Fire Writer) adds a part in turn.

Who knew? Meet Jane Lark

Another Fire Writer returning for

Written Fireside's Christmas by the Fire Blog Hop

Jane Lark

A fun, or little known fact about Jane:

"I recognized Princess Anne by her boots. I was waiting for a train, reading, and an obviously really expensive pair of boots walked past. I looked up and it was Princess Anne! She traveled up to London (with two minders) in the same carriage as me. It was the day before Prince Charles announced his engagement to Camilla."

Who knew?

Jane is a fellow Harper Impulse author
and was a Fire Writer for

Jane's bio:

Jane is qualified to the equivalent of a Masters Degree in People Management and is fascinated by the things which craft people’s personalities, so she has great fun exploring these through characters. She lives in the United Kingdom near the Regency City of Bath and has just bought her 400 year old dream home. History has always tempted her imagination and she loves researching and also exploring ruins and houses to get ideas. She equally loves a love story. Jane has always aspired to writing a historical novel so when she was thirty she put it on her ‘to do before I am forty’ list. She completed her first novel ten years ago, never sent it anywhere then started the next. She’s not stopped writing since, and escaping into a mental world of fiction is a great painkiller to help fight off her Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Jane is the author of

The Marlow Intrigues

best-selling kindle Regency romance series!

The Illicit Love of a Courtesan
In the eyes of the ton, Ellen Harding lives a charmed life – she is the beautiful, exquisitely adorned mistress of Lord Gainsborough.

But on the inside, behind her glamorous façade, she is empty – a vessel – deaf to the voice of morality and blind to shame. Unable to escape the gilded cage she has been trapped within.

Kind, gentle Edward Marlow could prove to be her salvation… With one look he gives her hope. With one touch he sets her senses alight.

The Passionate Love of a Rake

The only woman who had power over notorious rake Robert Marlow was now walking away from him, again.

He’d heard Sutton had died, and known Jane was free, but he’d always thought his desire would only be for revenge, not her. Yet here he was, unable to deny what he felt for her… what he’d never felt for any other woman before…

Scandalous Love of a Duke

Isolated by life and choice, John Harding, the Duke of Pembroke, sees an angel in a pale mauve dress across a ballroom and is drawn closer.

The wheat-blonde hair escaping her dull dove-grey bonnet caresses her neck and lures his eyes to the spot he’d most like to kiss.

Then as if she senses his gaze the stranger turns and looks at him…
